Prof. Eleni Jelastopulu

Professor Eleni Jelastopulu, Professor and Director of the Department of Public Health at the School of Medicine, University of Patras

Dr. Eleni Jelastopulu is a Medical Doctor specialized in Public Health and Social Medicine. She serves as Professor and Director of the Department of Public Health at the School of Medicine, University of Patras. She has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with academic interests focusing on Epidemiology, Public Health, Mental Health, Social Medicine, Research Methodology, Medical Education, and Health Systems.

Dr. Jelastopulu has a long-standing research background and maintains active participation in national and international research projects. She is an elected member of the Board of the Medical Society of Western Greece and the Peloponnese (IEDEP), where she served as General Secretary from 2007 to 2016, and a board member of the Forum of Public Health and Social Medicine.

She is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Mediterranean One Health Innovation Center (MED-OHC) and serves on the Editorial Boards of the journals Achaiki Iatriki (the official journal of IEDEP), Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM), and Dialogues in Clinical Neuroscience & Mental Health (DCNMH).

In addition, she is actively involved in various committees at the University of Patras and has served as member, vice-chair, and chair of numerous scientific and organizing committees for academic conferences.
